So who are we, anyway? We are the founders of DOMITECH: Hilary Catherall, President, and Billy Catherall, Vice-President.
We're a good match in this enterprise because our technology skill sets are complementary and we share the same vision for our company. And although we're a husband-and-wife team, this is no mom-and-pop operation. Our ambitions are bigger than that!
A brief summary of our resumes is below.
Billy R. Catherall
Billy has 12 years of technology experience working for small, medium, and large businesses, in both public and private sectors in several industries, from education to oil and gas. His specialization is in high availability and clustering and network design and security.
Highlights:
- Managing clusters with 200+ servers, utilizing Alteon, Foundry, and Radware load balancing and BEA WebLogic.
- Managing websites that receive over 3 Gigabits of traffic per day.
- Security on the largest private network in Houston, Texas, using Snort, Nagios, Microsoft Mom, Firewall1, Black Ice, Nessus, and others.
Billy has solid experience in almost every facet of technology, including web programming, database design, network design, systems administration, and IT management.
Hilary C. Catherall
Hilary has 7 years of experience as a professional web designer and developer. She spent four years working for Idea Integration, one of the nation's most prominent e-business solutions providers, and has completed projects for companies such as HP and Chevron.
Highlights:
- Usability consulting, enforcement of Section 508 accessibility requirements, branding/style enforcement, and information architecture for HP's small and medium business online store.
- Redesign of the front-end of two ArcIMS GIS applications for the Harris County Flood Control District following Tropical Storm Allison.
- Design and coding of a custom PHP surveying application delivered via PDA.
- Management of the creation of an intranet for a large law firm.
Hilary has a solid understanding of usability, accessibility, information architecture, graphic design, HTML coding, and scripting, and has project management experience.
